What you'll learn
This is an interactive deep-dive with the attorney that brought the seminal Zanetich v. Wallmart case that is one of the first shots in adverse employment action under the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory, Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization” (“CREAMM”) Act.
Employment actions related to cannabis consumption are ofter misunderstood in states that have adopted medical and adult use of cannabis. These two experts will discuss the statute as it exists, the case law and the direction that employment actions may head, as well as current thoughts on how to balance the tension between the legal obligation to provide a drug-free workplace against the constitutional right of an individual to engage in lawful, off-the-clock consumption.
